The Soil & Sedimentation Director is a part-time position. Additionally, much of the work performed by the Soil & Sedimentation Director is accomplished outside the office. Individuals wishing to speak with the Soil & Sedimentation Director should leave a message on his answering machine.
The Soil & Sedimentation Director is responsible for flood and erosion prevention within the County.
- An Osceola County Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control Permit Application is required for any earth changing activity occurring within 500' from a creek, lake, river, stream, or county drain; or if you are disturbing one acre or more of land.
- A Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control Form is required for any earth changing activity that does not require a Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control Permit.
