Affidavit Attesting that Qualified Agricultural Property or Qualified Forest Shall Remain Qualified Agricultural Property

This is a link to Michigan Department of Treasury Form 3676.  This form must be filed to claim that a transfer of property is not a statutory transfer of ownership because the property will continue to be qualified agricultural or qualified forest property.  This form must be filed with the register of deeds for the county in which the qualified agricultural property is located and then with the assessor of the local tax collecting unit where this property is located.

Principal Residence Exemption (PRE) Affidavit
This is a link to Michigan Department of Treasury form 2368.  The Affidavit is used to claim a Principal Residence Exemption (PRE) when filed with the local assessor of the city or township where the property is located.  Refer to the form for dates and deadlines.  Related Forms: Request to Rescind Principal Residence Exemption (PRE), Form 2602 and Conditional Rescission of Principal Residence Exemption (PRE), Form 4640.

Qualified Forest Program
This is a link to the Qualified Forest Program home page.  Private landowners own over 11 million acres of forest land in Michigan.  The purpose of the Qualified Forest Program (QFP) is to encourage private forest land owners to manage their land in an economically viable and environmentally sustainable manner.  Landowners receive an exemption from local school operating taxes and/or exemptions from the uncapping of the taxable value of the property in the event of a change in ownership.

Request to Rescind Principal Residence Exemption (PRE)
This is a link to Michigan Department of Treasury Form 2602.  This form enables people who are selling or converting their home to another use to rescind their exemption.  It also enables people to change the percentage that they occupy as their principal residence.

State Tax Commission Affidavit for Disabled Veterans Exemption
This is a link to Michigan Department of Treasury Form 5107.  The Affidavit is used to apply for an exemption of property taxes under MCL211.7b, for real property used and owner as a homestead by a disabled veteran who was discharged from the armed forces of the United States under honorable conditions or his or her unremarried surviving spouse.  The property owner, or his or her legal designee, must annually file the Affidavit with the supervisor or assessing officer any time after December 31 and before, or until the conclusion of, the December Board of Review.

Statewide Search for Subdivision Plats
This is a link to a system maintained by the State of Michigan, Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Construction Codes.  The system provides access to digital images, with print capability, of the plats and related documents of land subdivisions in the State of Michigan plat files.  There is a  manual that explains the ways to search for plat data and download plats.
