The Drain Commissioner is a part-time position.  In addition, much of the work accomplished by the Drain Commissioner is performed outside the office.  Individuals wishing to speak with the Drain Commissioner should leave a message on his answering machine.    

The Drain Commissioner is responsible for overseeing the drainage ways in the County.  In order to do so the activities of the Drain Commissioner include:

• Establishing new drainage districts
• Maintaining existing County drains
• Improving inland lakes

When performing work on commercial property, individuals need to contact the Office of the Drain Commissioner.
