The Soil & Sedimentation director is a part-time position.  Much of the work performed by the Soil & Sedimentation officer is accomplished outside of the office.  Individuals wishing to speak with the Soils and Sedimentation officer should leave a message on his answering machine.  He will get back to you as soon as possible.

The Soil & Sedimentation Director is responsible for flood and soil prevention within the County.

A Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control Permit is required for any earth changing activity that is within 500 feet from a creek, lake, river, stream, or county drain; or if you are disturbing one acre or more of land.
