The 2012 season for our parks is from May 11, 2012
to September 30, 2012. So make your plans
for bringing your trailer on out and call early to reserve your favorite site.
Reservations for camping 2012 will be taken on or
after January 1, 2012. Please leave a
short message with your name and phone number and we will return the call.
The Parks office is staffed part-time on Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Camping discounts will apply from May 11, 2012 to
May 25, 2012 and from September 4, 2012 to September 30, 2012 to campers. The discount would consist of renting five
consecutive days and then receive 2 free days of camping. The 2 free days of camping will have to be
used consecutively with the five days of camping.
Running a campground is an extremely challenging
and rewarding job. It gives us the
opportunity to get to know people like you, you make it all worthwhile… and we
truly enjoy meeting each of you when you visit us. We have had the chance to make changes, and
improvements in the park system. It is
very rewarding for us to be able to look at what we have accomplished and enjoy
it along with you.
You are the reason we are here, if you have any ideas;
we would like to hear them. We need your
ideas to help us make the Osceola County Parks system the best it can be. Please fill out a survey (available online)
and send it into the parks office with your ideas.
We have enclosed a 2012 Rates and Rules brochure
for your review. For more information on
camping, fees, pavilion reservations, group camping reservations, or anything
else, please contact the park office at (231) 832-6130 and leave a message or
visit our website, www.osceola-county.org,
click on departments and click on parks to view our parks information online.
Despite what you might think, the campground
rules are designed to protect you and your welfare. The park managers have received special
direction to be very strict in enforcing the park’s rules and regulations. Take a minute to read the rules, be a
considerate camper, and have a great time.
The Osceola County Parks are not supported by a
yearly tax appropriation, but must rely instead on camping and vehicle permits
that you the park user will pay to enter and enjoy our parks.
The Osceola County Parks are always looking for
volunteers at the parks. If you would
like to volunteer your services at the parks, please contact the parks manager
during the season for the proper paperwork and information regarding volunteering.
